If you wish to have your club results published – please note the following instructions.

1. Results must be emailed to me, Nigel Dutton by midnight each Monday.

2. The subject line MUST read Bridge Results Club Name eg Bridge Results Nedlands. The emails are handled automatically and WILL be missed without the correct subject line.

3. The results must be plain text.

4. There is no need to add any other text to the email. Particularly names & salutations these just need to be removed before the results can be added and sent.

5. You should receive an automatic response to your email within minutes. If you don't you may not have addressed it correctly or may not have formatted the subject line correctly. See point 2 above.

6. Most of the results processing is automatic - Incorrectly formatted results will not be processed.

After recent correspondence with the West Australian – notably

“When the winners are in pairs or teams we separate their names with a dash (eg. J Smith-B Robb). There is no space either side of the dash. We also use a semicolon (;) to determine separate placing or sections” 

Consequently the results should be submitted as formatted below.

WABC: Monday: D Davies-B Robinson; B Sheridan-N Clarke; V Hughes-A Degli-Esposti; M Thomas-D Newton. Tuesday: C Matthews-T Wheatley; M George-H George; M Davies-M Thunder; M Macartney-D Pocock. Wednesday: J Browne-J Davy; R Cohen-J Hirschfield; H Kemp-J Oldham; M Martin-B Baker. Wednesday pm: J Pynt-J Reynolds; V Ferreira-L Ferreira. Sup: MF Van Hall-B Maitland; K Lord-B Vaughan. Thursday: H Kemp-N Bodinner; B Hughes-R Hughes; S Chang-M Tearne; M Musitano-D Musitano. Friday: A Roberts-K Hassell; N Stafford-J Stafford; J Perry-J Duncan. Note: 

      Plain text – no html, emoticons or stationary please. It just has to be removed.

      Attached word documents will not be processed.

      Winners only.

      No full stop after the players initial - single space is fine.

      No space either side of the – but a single space after all punctuation.

      No double spaces (particularly after punctuation)

      No line breaks between sessions (all run on)

      No abbreviations for days. 

      Starts with Club name

      Only one set of results per week - the second is ignored.

      The subject line of the email MUST say Bridge Results – club name – otherwise it  WILL be missed. Eg Bridge Results Nedlands
